The university can change the rules at any time. All students must follow the latest rules, regardless of when they enrolled.
- Simultaneous Registration: Students who are already enrolled in a one-year or longer program can also register for a 6-month certificate program at the same time. However, if the counselling or examination dates for the two programs conflict, the university will not be able to make any adjustments.
-
Pursuing Two Academic Programs: As of now, students are not allowed to pursue two academic programs simultaneously, either from the same university or from different universities. The only exception is a certificate program.
-
Refund of Fee: Once you pay the fee, it will not be refunded under any circumstances. It cannot be used to pay for any other program at this university. However, if the university denies your admission, the program fee will be refunded after a processing fee is deducted.
- Correction/Change of Name/Surname of Learner: The Student Registration Division (SRD) will correct any spelling mistakes in your name that were made during data entry. Make sure your name on the admission form is the same as your name on your high-school certificate. If your name has changed since you received your high school certificate, you must provide legal evidence of the name change.
For Change of Name/Surname, after confirmation of admission, the learners are required to submit the following documents to Registrar, SRD:
- Original copy of a newspaper notification announcing the name change
- Original affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper, sworn in before a 1st Class Magistrate, specifying the name change
- Marriage card or marriage certificate (for women candidates changing their surname)
- Original Gazette Notification reflecting the name change
- Recognition: IGNOU degrees are recognized by all member universities of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and are equivalent to degrees from other Indian universities.
The University rules mentioned above are available in the Prospectus. Other rules related to application, selection, workplace, learning, assessment etc. are part of student undertaking.
